Roma ballads is a collaboration between Ida Kelarová, Desiderius Dužda, Tomáš Kačo and Škamp's Quartet. The album captivates the inwardness and immediacy of human emotion and each artist a slightly different side of the music scene. The lyrics of the songs are Romani folk poetry and so we must understand them… The songs on this CD are written in Romani and are translated semantically. Romani folklore is alive, songs are constantly being born and inspired by real events. The song is considered by the Roma to be one of the most beautiful gems that adorn the Roma people.
The CD contains a total of 13 songs - Romani ballads. All songs are interpreted in the Romani language.
