Gypsy Celebration 2005

We live in a world of war, violence, insecurity and fear, and deep down we all want the peace, love and understanding that is so important. We do not always have the opportunity to spend moments together, when we can get to know each other, understand and understand each other, dance or sing, enjoy common moments of happiness.

As a child, I remember how strong and yet simple life was in Horne Saliby, where my father Koloman Bitto came from. Everyone, the whole family, were great musicians. They would often perform at weddings then when they came after a hard day and night, they didn't go to bed. They sat in the garden and only then did they really start playing. They began to celebrate. They celebrated life. They celebrated love. They played from the heart. The whole family, they were together and they were happy. Other times they cried, put it all to music and played for three whole days and three nights outside. In the morning, when we, the children got up, they were still playing, living, not wanting to sleep. Everyone knew that when teye stopped and terutrned to their own homes we would all be sad.

When I saw my father confessing love to his brother, or when everyone cried, it was a strange silence. I remember that energy and wisdom so strongly! No one had to say anything, they all felt the same and understood the same. There were no wars, fears, dangers or insecurities. I felt that I was living and that life was worth living. It was strong. I leart the meaning of love. The rare feeling that a person feels and then simply needs it forever. They didn't have to teach me, I immediately understood it, as a child.It inspored my life.

At the Svojanov castle, we experience 3 days and nights full of music, passion, happiness, safety and love. Just how I remeber my childhood
