Gypsies go to Heaven – Prague

Songs from the musical performed at the theatre Divadlo bez zabradli in Prague.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the actors for their hard and wonderful work both in the creation of the theatrical production and in the creation of the CD. We thank Jana Trčková for being a great tutor and cooperator in the musical production of these songs. We thank Petr Malásk for his love, support and patience in recording the CD and at the same time for the great stage music for the production. And a big thank you the director Radek Balaš, with whom I once collaborated in the past and have known for many years, I could not refuse the opportunity to assist him on this production. And of course we thank our great Romani musicians, colleagues and friends for the music and materials for this production. Thank you to 12-year-old Viera Berkyová from Lučenec who performed the well-known song Nane cocha with her pure Romani heart. And finally thank you to the management of the theater, Karl and Hana Heřmánková for their trust and full freedom of artistic creation during the process. They gave us the opportunity to pass on our life experiences, our culture, music, our feelings not only on the stage of the theatre but also in a completely new, original form of the famous musical, on to record this CD."
