Workshop for organizers
We are offering you the possibility to organize one of Ida Kelarova’s Everyone Can Sing workshops in your town. Get the experience of working with one of the world’s most renowned music teachers, and get introduced to her non-traditional approach and unforgettable moments of opening the human voice. If interested it is also possible to arrange workshops for schools, teachers and students – or for any other organisations or institutions.
We require a spacious room suitable for singing and breathing exercises, i.e. one that is clean, warm and dry. A piano is not a condition. Dates as agreed, weekends are preferred (not a condition). Price will be negotiated depending on how many participants will be take part.
We provide three types of weekend workshops.
Short weekend workshop (“Everyone can sing”)
Saturday 10:00 – 18:00 (1 hour lunch break), Sunday 10:00 – 16:00 (1 hour lunch break). Accommodation for tutors (2 persons) must be ensured by the organizer. Workshop should be open for at least 20 participants.
Long weekend workshop (“Song Celebration”)
Friday 18:00 – 21:00 (no break), Saturday 10:00 – 18:00 (1 hour lunch break), Sunday 10:00 – 15:00 (no break). Accommodation for tutors (2-3 persons) must be ensured by the organizer. Workshop should be open for at least 20 participants.
Long weekend workshop and concert (“Song of my soul”)
Ida Kelarova, Desiderius Dužda, Tomas Kačo; the participants of the workshop as guest performers on the concert. Friday 18:00 – 21:00 (no break), Saturday 10:00 – 18:00 (1 hour lunch break), Sunday 10:00 – 17:00 (1 hour lunch break), Sunday concert 17:00 – 18:30. Accommodation for tutors (2-3 persons) must be ensured by the organizer. Workshop should be open for at least 30 participants.
Common conditions
- A suitable space/room with good acoustics.
- With regard to noise generated and time consumed, we ask for a place where we do not disturb others and also are not disturbed by others.
- The room should be warm with a good quality clean floor, as we need to lie on the floor for the breathing excercises (we ask participants to bring a floor mat). The floor must be cleaned everyday before we start work.
- The room should be light and airy (good windows).
- The room should be at least 6×8 meters large.
- A secure (and paid for) parking space for one car.
- One double bedroom and one single room (in private or hotel) for accommodation.
- We need copies to be made of the songs lyrics and other materials for all number participants taking part (this will be sent to the organizer in advance).
- All participants must attend the whole workshop.
- Apart from the organizer and one assistant, no one receives any discount or attends for free.
- Participants must not take photos or record audio during the workshop without the permission of Ida Kelarova.
- Participants must keep their phones switched off at all working times.
- Organizer attends to the workshop operation all the weekend.
- Organizer takes care of all food and drinks for the tutors for the whole weekend.
- Organizer prepares flyers and posters to advertise the workshop/concert, this must be consulted with Ida Kelarova beforehand.
- If decided on a concert, organizer must ensure good sound quality.
- Organizer settles the arranged workshop fee right after the workshop with Ida Kelarova.
- We ask for a grand piano (a well tuned one) – if not possible, Ida Kelarova brings a keyboard and all the required equipment.
