Ida Kelarova & Iva Bittova - Jazz standards
Both artists – singers – can boast with significant and solid fan base. Both have successfully performed in Lucerna Music Hall. They have never, however, performed together at a joint concert. At this concert, they will not perform their own stuff, but will only focus on interpretation of world known jazz standards.
The concert will be pursued in the style of great American jazz concerts of 1950’s. The concert will be recorded on DVD. A TV documentary will be realised from the recorded material, including behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, etc. The concert will be Iva Bittova’s last performance in the Czech Republic prior to her long-term stay in the US. The VIP invitees list include both the current and previous presidents of the Czech Republic, Václav Klaus and Václav Havel.

The concert will be produced in the style of great American jazz concerts of the 1950’s, including lighting. The playlist will include carefully selected jazz standards, including Summertime and others. The songs will be selected by the concert vocal coach and arranger Miriam Bayle as well as both performers themselves. Some of the pieces will be performed as duets.
The band will comprise a piano trio (+double bass and drums) under the leadership of Ondrej Krajňák and will include renowned instrumentalists such as Edgar Herzog, Juraj Bartoš and Jozef Fečo as well as guest performers, including David Dorůžka, Ivan Herák and others.
